At a crossroads of Time & Space, there is a hexagonal space ship.

Within this ship, there sits The Lurker. He is sits before a wall of screens in a futuristic metallic chair. The chair is partly helping slowing down his rapidly aging body from giving out on him & is also partly controlling the screens before. It's hurts for him to move, but he must remain vigilant. Some of his screens have gone black for the locations they once shown no longer existed. A blond hair woman clad in red & blue armor walked up to her master.

"Master?"

"Yes, my child." he said.

"I was in my quarters & felt something. It was something I can't quite place. I was almost like some type mental feedback."

"Yes, I felt it too. With our positions, we have become connected to the Multiverse & can sense any disturbances with in, much like hero known as Amazing Guy."

"What was this? It felt.... like... I... died." She said getting choked up.

"Yes. I've tried to shield you from such mental feedback, but sometimes such events are to strong & I'm am so weak."

"What happened?"

Her master did not responds but set the wall to show one screen. It was a Hospital on one such Earth. Leeta Trainor, who is also known as Humdinger, was about to ask more questions but her Master had drifted off to sleep. She did want to wake him for he's need all his energy for the upcoming battle.

Phantomhawk Memorial Hospital, Parrodipolis.
Wednesday night, around sunset.
The Intensive Care Unit, Room 7-G.

There hooked to various machines with tubes going in & coming out of him lay Ronald Arnold Gerrimoto Beeslyhuxtoy. The room was almost silent if not for the sounds made by the machines that were hooked up to him. Looking into the room, via a pane glass window, Jane stands watch. She's hardly moved since his ex-boyfriend was admitted & put in that room. Standing next to her was a woman she hardly knows but considers her a friend. Catherine hasn't been there that long, she had some errands that she had to do before coming to the hospital, sure she rushed through them & her mind was on other things but she got them done.

"Does Ronnie's 'fro looked darker to you?" Catherine said breaking the silence.

"What?" Jane asked.

"Ronnie's afro. It looks less bright then it normally does. Normally it's this bright almost blinding red big ol' ball of cotton candy. But, now... I'm not sure if the lighting in the room or something else but now the color now seems to be a subdued red, a pale red."

"I don't know." Jane said offhandedly.

She knows Catherine just trying to make conversation but she wished she'd shut up. This didn't seem like a time for hair questions. Jane just wanted to wallow in her pain in silence. She'd been through a lot with Ronnie but nothing ever got to this point. Sure, he'd mad tons of people mad at him but Ronnie always seemed to be almost abnormally protected from harm as a cause from his actions. But, she guessed to day was the day his luck ran out.

Catherine sensed how Jane was feeling & decided to see how Chad was doing.

A short while later, a Doctor walked up to her.

"Miss Tarzania?" He said.

Jane turned her tear soaked face towards them. She wiped away a few tears.

"Can we step aside from the window for a moment?"

"I'll do such thing just you can get an attendant in there to pull the plug & pull a sheet over Ronnie's head!" Jane said in a slightly higher tone then she normally spoke at.

The Doctor then tried to hush her. "Ok. Miss.. Jane, Just known we've not given up on Ronald. I just feel that it would be better if we.."

"I'm not going to leave him.. especially not now." Jane said pointedly. She paused & then quietly continued as she looked at Ronnie "especially not now because I feel partly responsible for this."

"You shouldn't. From what I've heard, you saved him. If he'd been here a half hour to an our later, we couldn't have helped him as much as we have."

Stilled turned in Ronnie's direction & in hushed tones, Jane said "But if I hadn't hung up on him the first ten or so times, we would have been here earlier or maybe not even been here at all."

Jane lowered her head & began to cry again. The Doctor walked over to comfort her, she pushed him back.

Jane stopped the tears, wiped them away & forcefully said in loud tones "You just keep on doing what you've been doing & we'll bring him back! He needs to come back, the world needs Ronnie!"

Jane then turned her gaze back to Ronnie. The Doctor opened his mouth to say something but didn't. He knew nothing he could say would do much good for her now. So, he just turned & left. There are sometimes that he hates his job & right now is one of those times.
